When this school opened in 1993, the nearest option for most of our families was a bus ride of well over an hour, taken twice a day, in weather that does not always allow it. A good many children simply did not go. The school exists because that was not acceptable to the people who live here.
Thirty years later we teach Nursery to Class XII, we are affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi, and our senior batches go on to universities across the country. I am proud of that. But it is not the thing I would ask you to judge us on.
A school is not its results. It is what a child does on the day nobody is marking them.
Marks are the easiest thing about a school to measure and the least interesting thing to promise. What we try to build here is harder to put in a table: a child who will admit they have not understood something, who will stay behind to help clear the hall after an event, and who treats the person sweeping the corridor exactly as they treat the person teaching them physics.
We ask three things of the families who join us. Send your child on time and rested. Read what we send home — we do not send much, and we send it because it matters. And when you disagree with us, tell us early and tell us directly, rather than telling the child. We will do the same for you.
